About Jennie

Hello! My name is Jennie, and I am a Portland-based videographer and sound editor. I find immense joy playing across mediums-video, sound, photography, and animation- to create media that celebrates nature, social movements, and, more generally, those working to make the world a better place.

I come from a background in education, research, and activism, and it’s the reason I’m now in this field! From my prior experience, I learned how to use multimedia as a tool to document community-based knowledge, honor the stories often not told, and support movement building. I carry this with me in all the work.

I am also deeply passionate about art education. I teach stop-motion and filmmaking workshops to children and teens and work for the Learning Department at the Portland Art Museum

Outside of my professional work, I love taking photos and creating videos for my community.
